About Us


When discussing the Customer Delight project at a common client, we wondered why most companies, that are considered benchmarks in their industries, are mostly found in the USA and Asia. This started our journey into How to Implement Customer Delight in Europe.  Together we possess a blend of experience in automotive, luxury and service industries for which we have provided consultancy services as well as trainings on Customer Delight and behavioural skills and attitudes. Marieke van der Laan is a cultural anthropologist specialized in culture and management with a degree from Utrecht University. She has a master degree in NLP and is a certified trainer of the Arc-en-Ciel method. Marieke set up the Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce in Bangkok, worked as Account Manager for Dimeq SE Asia and as consultant for several consultancy firms in France (specialized in either change management, or luxury or Customer Delight). Since 2010 she works as an independent consultant and trainer at Global Reach Consulting, mainly on projects of implementation of Customer Delight.

Marieke lives near Utrecht, together with her Vietnamese husband and their 2 children. Her son and daughter regularly delight her by their sincere social attitude and surprising creativity. If only this spirit could be transferred to an employee-customer relationship, the world would glow.

Johannes van de Water

Johannes van de Water studied at the business school in Driebergen, the specialist car business school of the Netherlands. Afterwards he did his top study at Henley Management College, where he obtained his BBA. He started off in car sales and later worked at various car importers at which he was responsible for commercial- and skills training. He is now owner of ‘Turn Business Improvement’, a consultancy and training firm specialised in hands-on improvement programs. He works for various automotive companies, developing and executing training and improvement programs at retail, importer and manufacturer level all over the world.

He is now 43 years of age and s married. He has twin daughters in the age of 8, who like to help him with his hobby, restoring his old cars (MG-B, Citroën Mehari, Lancia Delta HF Integrale). He also likes cooking and travelling very much.
